AKIRA

Akira could not adapt to the family system required by the postwar policy. He grew up as an orphan and with a street fighting spirit he leaves to live his own life in an place given the alias "AREA:RAY". While feeling emptiness in every day life he keeps living it simply. Akira is accused of homicide and in exchange for getting out of jail he's offered a chance to participate in a fighting tournament called Igura, which is run by a narcotics organization. He is then given five dog tags.
Each dog tag has a playing card marking on it (Ace of Spades, Queen of Hearts, 4 of Diamonds, 8 of Clubs, etc). The game plays much like poker. Akira is to collect a Royal Flush by defeating other players through fighting and taking their tags but they are not allowed to kill each other.
KEISUKE
Weapon: kukri
Keisuke is a friend of Akira from the orphanage. Currently he is employed at a small factory and is a hard worker. Keisuke chases after Akira and also joins the tournament
